Why was I ever sleeping on Stewed Fish ?

As I mentioned in the recipe video I hated this growing up because why not just fry the fish mom lol? everything is better fried right? yeah those are the words of child who hadn't develop his taste buds and had yet to learn to appreciate goodness of this delicious fish stew! I'm not that kid anymore I absolutely love this and will devour it every time it comes my way! This recipe is Definitely one you should try!  

what is Red Snapper?

Red snapper has long been considered one of the most delicious deep-sea deli- cacies on the market. Its brilliant color- ing and at t r act i v e appearance is only exceeded by the juicy, white, fine -flavored flesh. Most of the snapper on the market is caught in the Gulf of Mexico and landed in Florida.

This stewed red snapper recipe is delicious! the marinade makes the fish so flavorful and the herbs and spices in the stewed takes it to a whole other level of Very Noicee! 

The Best Stewed Red Snapper recipe!

Ingredients

    • 2 Red Snappers ( medium size)

    • Juice of 1 lime

    • Splash of Distilled White Vinegar

    • 1 Tbsp. coarse Salt

    • Water

    • 1 Tbps. Very Noicee AP Seasoning

    • 2 tbsp. Epis/Green seasoning

    • Coarse Salt to taste

    • 3 Tbsp. Unsalted Butter

    • ½ Green Bell Pepper

    • ½ Large Yellow Onion

    • 1 Tbsp. Epis/Green seasoning

    • 2 Sprigs Thyme

    • Scotch Bonnet pepper or Habanero

    • 2 Cloves

    • Coarse Salt to taste

    • Water as needed

    • 1 tsp. Very Noicee AP Seasoning or to taste

    • 2 small drops of your Favorite Hot Sauce

    • 1 tsp. chicken Bouillon

    Directions

      1. Add all the ingredients listed for prepping the snapper except for the water

      2. using the lime to " scrub" the fish carefully, allow to sit for 15 min before rising under colder water

      1. Add all the ingredients listed for marinating the snapper, make sure it gets all throughout the fish. allow to marinate for a minimum of 1 hour

      1. Using a large skillet over medium heat melt the butter, the add the epis, stir and toast lightly

      2. Add the pepper and onions. Sautee for a bit then add the water. add enough to where it would almost submerge the fish.

      3. Seasoning with salt, Very Noicee AP, hot sauce and chicken bouillon. stir then add the thyme and scotch bonnet pepper. pierced the cloves in the scotch bonnet pepper.

      4. Let it come to slight boil then the marinated fish. gently place it the sauce to not get splash.

      5. Occasionally baste the sauce over the fish until it is fully cooked. if using large snappers you might have to flip in order for it to fully cook.

      6. Served with rice, or boiled potatoes, yams or plantains. enjoy
